Information System Life Cycle

An Information Systems life cycle can be divided into two stages:

• Systems Developement (Build system)
• Systems Operation & Maintenance (Use & maintain system)

Two key events alters between the stages:

• CONVERSION: triggers change from System Development to System Operation & Maintenance
• OBSOLESCENE: triggers change from System Operation & Maintenance to System Development

Capability Maturity Model (CMM)

Assesses the maturity level of an organisation

Level 1: INITIAL (inconsistent methods)

Level 2: REPEATABLE (consistent project management)

Level 3: DEFINED (consistent process used)

Level 4: MANAGED (process managed & measured)

Level 5: OPTIMISED (continuous process improvement)

Welcome

The concept of this site was derived from assignments throughout my life as a Computing Systems student, where years of research required the one place for storage.   It is a “Go-To” blog where some information is written as a step-by-step guide, while other data is used for quick referencing only.

Focus is mainly around:

Creating Categories

Review & Add New Categories

(S) In the left-hand menu, click on Posts > Categories to view the contents in the screen on the right

(T) Add New Category. Enter Name of Category, select if it belongs to a parent category, enter description

(U) Click Add New Category to add new category to list

(V) Review list of Categories; sort by Bulk Actions, click Apply

Identifies name of category, for this particular example, it is the 5^th category called Menu Description
